Privacy Controls for Commlytics

Commlytics is evaluating “public” (within your organization) posts made by identified employees to your internal channels and chats. While employees inherently know that these posts are visible and associated with them, they may not necessarily feel comfortable knowing an AI tool is analyzing their conversations in aggregate, which is different than having human readers of those threads.

Understanding this, Commlytics provides an extensive set of controls to enable effective analytics while maintaining personal privacy.

Never Show Complete Posts

When a topic or sentiment is lifted from a thread, Commlytics enables users to drill down to the specific posts which created the topic or sentiment, with this setting on, that access is limited to just a small snippet of the post.

Show Influencers (individual member reporting)
An influencer is a Teams user who posts to a large active audience and/or has a high percentage of replies/reactions or @mentions. Beyond a “most posts” or “most followers” list, an influence score is calculated which takes audience activity into account. When this setting is on, the user is able to see the list of individuals identified as having influence in specific channels.
Never Show Sentiment Score for an Individual

This setting determines if sentiment is calculated on a per poster basis, in addition to an aggregate per channel or per topic basis.  Disabling this setting prevents employees from being identified with a sentiment score.

Never Show Names of Promoters (Positive Influencers)

This setting is optional when the influencers list is enabled, but do not wish to break influencers out into positive (or negative) sentiment groups.

Never Show Names of Detractors (Negative Influencers)

This setting is optional when the influencers list is enabled, but do not wish to break influencers out into negative (or positive) sentiment groups.

Do Not Report on Teams/Channels/Chats with - [ 10 ] Members

This setting limits analysis and reporting to channels with audiences of a certain scale, as for small audiences it would be difficult to provide adequate privacy protections.

Do Not Report on Teams/Channels/Chats with - [ 3 ] Message Writers

This setting limits analysis and reporting to channels with a certain scale of people posting messages,  as having a small number of message posters within a channel makes it difficult to provide adequate privacy protections.

Limit sentiment analysis reporting to a low of [ 5% ] and a high of [ 95%] to protect against personal identification in event of all member sentiment.

When scores are allowed to get close to absolute 0% or 100%, it would remove any privacy protection for members.
